MILILANI
Mauka off-ramp closing for resurfacing work

H-2 Freeway's northbound Mililani Mauka off-ramp (Exit 5A) will be closed 24 hours a day from 10 a.m. tomorrow through 4 a.m. Monday for pavement resurfacing, the state Department of Transportation said.

Mililani Mauka-bound drivers are advised to proceed along H-2 to the following Mililani Town off-ramp (Exit 5B), turn right onto Meheula Parkway and make a U-turn at the Kuahelani Avenue intersection, or use alternative routes such as Kamehameha Highway.

Police officers will direct traffic at the Kuahelani Avenue intersection.

The resurfacing is part of a $16.2 million project that will include full pavement reconstruction at the H-2 Waipi'o Interchange, Mililani Interchange and Kipapa Stream Bridge. Improvements also include installation of a right-turn storage lane at the southbound Ka Uka Boulevard off-ramp and replacement of guardrails and traffic signs. The total project is expected to be completed in December.
