50TH STATE FAIR

The 50th State Fair returns with the E.K. Fernandez midway of rides and games, food booths, much entertainment and more, May 22-June 22.

Hours are from 6 p.m. May 22 and June 5; from noon May 26; from 6 p.m. Fridays; and from noon Saturdays and Sundays. Closing times could vary, at the discretion of management, but is usually midnight.

Admission is $3 from noon to 6 p.m., $5 6 p.m. to closing, free for those under 40 inches tall. May 22 is preview day: Admission is $1; and all rides are $1 each.

GODFREY IN TWO STANDUPS

The comic Godfrey will perform twice — at 7:30 and 10 p.m. — May 23 at the Manoa Grand Ballroom of the Japanese Cultural Center of Hawai'i.

Among his TV credits: "Comic Justice," "All Jokes Aside Comedy Club," "Midnight Mac" and "Friday Night Videos." He has appeared in the films "Chain Reaction," "Zoolander," "Soul Plane" and others.
