Here's how you can join the fight against hunger: Put nonperishable food in a bag near your mailbox today, and postal carriers will collect it for the Hawaii Foodbank.

The annual Stamp Out Hunger food drive, sponsored by the National Association of Letter Carriers, is in its 16th year. Last year the nationwide campaign brought in 70.7 million pounds of donations; in Hawai'i, more than 310,000 pounds of canned goods were collected.
