UH's Haislet named WAC Hitter of the Week

University of Hawai'i outfielder Brandon Haislet was named Western Athletic Conference Baseball Hitter of the Week today.

Haislet, a senior from Sacramento, Calif., hit .647 (11-for-17) with 12 RBIs, a home run, two doubles and eight runs scored as the Rainbows split a four-game road series at New Mexico State. In the first game of Saturday's doubleheader, Haislet went 5-for-5 at the plate with a career-high seven RBIs, three runs, a home run and a double. He then went 4-for-5 with three RBIs and four runs in the second game. Haislet had a .941 slugging percentage on the weekend and a .714 on base percentage.

Fresno State pitcher Jason Breckley was named WAC Pitcher of the Week.
