The 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit from Camp Pendleton, Calif., began a three-day training mission today at Marine Corps Training Area Bellows.

Maj. Thomas Citrano, assistant operations officer, explained that the purpose of the training is to "maintain our ability to perform a myriad of tasks and missions the MEU can be assigned."

Residents in the area of Bellows may notice an increase in the noise level from helicopters until 10 p.m. tonight.
