Top surfski paddlers to conduct free clinic Wednesday

Advertiser Staff

Some of the world's best surfski paddlers will conduct a free clinic on Wednesday for paddlers of all ages.

South Africa's Oscar Chalupsky — who holds a record 11 Moloka'i-to-Oahu championships — is scheduled to be one of the guest instructors. Former Olympic gold-medal kayaker Greg Barton of Washington and other top contenders for Sunday's Epic Kayaks Molokai World Championships are expected to attend.

The clinic is scheduled to start around 4 p.m. At the Hui Nalu Canoe Club's practice area at Maunalua Bay.

Paddlers who attend the clinic are encouraged to bring their own paddle and surfski.
