3 share lead in high school boys golf state tournament

Alika Bell of Kamehameha, Justin Keiley of Baldwin and Alex Ching of Punahou shot 1-under-par 71s today to share the first round lead of the David S. Ishii Foundation Boys State Golf Championship at Wailua Golf Course in Lihu'e, Kaua'i.

Punahou led the team standings with a 6-over 294 (best four scores). 'Iolani was second at 309, followed by Kamehameha and Waiakea (311) and Baldwin and Kaua'i (312). The final round is today.

Matt Kitamori of Waiakea was a stroke behind the leaders after a 72. Levi MIyashiro of Kaua'i and Bradley Shigezawa of Punahou shot 73s.
