'Big Brown' rested — and ready for the Preakness

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Kentucky Derby champion Big Brown is rested and ready as he prepares to head to Maryland for the Preakness.

Big Brown galloped one final time around the track at Churchill Downs this morning He's scheduled to fly to Maryland this afternoon for the second leg of racing's Triple Crown.

Trainer Rick Dutrow Jr. said he couldn't ask for more from his horse in the 11 days following his Derby win despite poor weather in Louisville. The weather allowed Big Brown to gallop only three times since the Derby.
