Lecture series to mark Battle of Midway anniversary

The Pacific Aviation Museum at Pearl Harbor is commemorating the 66th anniversary of the Battle of Midway with a lecture series by historian and Midway expert Alan Lloyd.

The two-part series, called "Miracles and Mysteries Surrounding Midway," will be presented June 1 at 2 p.m. and June 2 at 7 p.m.

The lectures will discuss post-Pearl Harbor attacks during World War II, such as the second bombing of Pearl Harbor on March 4, 1942; the Doolittle Raid on Toyko on April 18, 1942; the attack on Alaska's Aleutian Islands on June 3, 1942; and the Battle of Midway on June 4, 1942.
