When Augie T, the radio guy and stand-up comedian, gave a Mother's Day show at the King Kamehameha Hotel in Kailua, Kona, last weekend, he had surprise star power in the audience. Colt Brennan, quietly visiting the Big Island for R&R before heading for rookie camp, brought girlfriend Shakti Stream and her mom to see Augie's show.

"He tried to be low-key, but when he walked into my sold-out show, the crowd stood up and applauded him," said Augie. "Colt was gracious and appreciative, flashed his million-dollar smile — and was the brunt of a few of my jokes."

Augie heads to Kaua'i on Saturday to present his first Speak the Dream Foundation scholarship to Lauren Esaki at a concert at the Kilohana Lu'au Pavilion.

LABEOUF DETAILS WALGREEN'S FIASCO

NEW YORK — Turns out it was a nicotine jones that led to Shia LaBeouf's infamous arrest in Chicago.

The 21-year-old actor, who stars opposite Harrison Ford in "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull," told David Letterman on last night's "Late Show" that he got "pretty wasted" before his stint in "the drunk tank" last November for refusing to leave a Walgreen's store.

His story: He had a hankering for cigarettes — and was preoccupied by pimples on his forehead.

"So I go to Walgreen's and I go to the cosmetic aisle," LaBeouf recalled, "and I see the security guard and he's looking at me, 4 in the morning, pretty disheveled, pretty messed up on the special magic sauce. And I get the pimple cream, and he's looking at me, he's kinda giggling to himself, and now I'm starting to feel like, 'What? It's really not that funny, guy, you know?' " LaBeouf went back to his hotel and realized he'd forgotten to buy the smokes. The actor returned to Walgreen's in different clothes. The security guard noticed and said, "Hey, nice outfit," to which LaBeouf retorted: "Yeah, nice outfit to you, too."

LaBeouf said he mistakenly backed into the candy aisle, but tried to play it off like he did it on purpose. He bought candy — but again left without cigarettes. So he threw on a hooded sweatshirt and returned to the store.

"I go back down, I got the hoodie on, he goes, 'Really? Really? Really?' And I'm like, 'Yeah, really!' He goes, 'Well, what are you doing here?' And I'm like, 'Well buddy, it's your worst nightmare,' " LaBeouf said.

He said another security guard put him in plastic handcuffs at that point. LaBeouf was charged with misdemeanor criminal trespassing. The charges were later dropped.

DREW BARRYMORE SOLVES CRIME

LOS ANGELES — Drew Barrymore was on the receiving end in a hit-and-run accident, then followed the other driver and took down the license plate number.

The 33-year-old actress wasn't injured when her car was rear-ended Monday in West Hollywood, and she turned over the license number to sheriff's deputies, said a sheriff's sergeant.
