Surf up to 12 feet expected on North Shore today

Advertiser Staff

A new northwest swell has arrived, and surf on Oahu's North Shore should rise to 9 to 12 feet today, the National Weather Service said.

Surf on west-facing shores is also on the way up to heights of 3 to 6 feet today, forecasters said.

South-facing shores will see surf of 2 feet or less today while surf along east-facing shores is expected to be 1 to 3 feet.

Get some while the getting is good: The incoming north-northwest swell will be on the decline Friday and through the weekend.
