Kumu Kahua's June 21 'Kälä-Bash' launches new season

Kumu Kahua Theatre's annual Kala-Bash will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. June 21 in the park just outside the theater's Downtown site, at 46 Merchant St.

The fundraiser will include a silent auction.

The event, celebrating the start of Kumu Kahua's 38th season, will offer local grinds from 3660 On the Rise, Chart House Waikiki, Murphy's Bar and Grill, and Side Street Inn. Beverages will be supplied by Paradise Beverages and Southern Wine & Spirits.

It will also be an opportunity to meet and talk story with Kumu actors, writers, driectors and designers from past as well as upcoming season.

Tickets: $40, of which $20 is tax-deductible. Proceeds will support Kumu Kahua's mission to produce theater that is relevant to Island life.
