PARKER RANCH INC.

Parker Ranch Inc. recently announced the appointment of Robert Hind III to its board of directors. For more than 15 years during his tenure with Parker Ranch, Hind's responsibilities included cattle and horse genetic development, water, timber and quarry resources, agronomy, physical properties and marketing. Hind is owner/manager of Daleico Ranch, and is a sixth-generation descendant of Parker Ranch founder John Palmer Parker.

MW GROUP

Jeff Gerard has been named vice president of MW Group's Maui operations. His new duties include overseeing operations at MW's Azeka Shopping Center, Kihei Plaza and Kihei Kalama Village. Gerard is also in charge of new business development and leasing on the island.

HAWAIIAN AIRLINES

Hawaiian Airlines has appointed Al Hoffman senior vice president for corporate communications and public affairs. He will manage and coordinate Hawaiian's corporate communications strategies and activities, including media and investor relations. He will also oversee internal employee communications, and governmental and community relations.

LAIRD CHRISTIANSON ADVERTISING

Laird Christianson Advertising has promoted Paul Segawa to senior art director and Colleen Song to account supervisor.

Segawa has a decade of award-winning art direction and design expertise. He oversees creative concepting, implementation and execution for clients that include Marriott Resorts Hawaii and Ko Olina Beach Resort.

Song has served several of Hawai'i's largest companies in her decade of agency experience in account services and market research analysis.

FESTIVAL COMPANIES

Festival Companies, a full-service real estate advisory firm and developer of the Royal Hawaiian Center, based in Los Angeles, has hired Helene "Sam" Shenkus, as marketing director of the center. She has served as acting marketing director of the center since June 2007.

HAWAI'I PACIFIC UNIVERSITY

SITA CHHABRA has been promoted to director of marketing at Hawai'i Pacific University. She will oversee the university's marketing activities and will spearhead efforts to develop and execute university-wide marketing and advertising strategies. Chhabra's background and education span three continents and four countries — India, the United Arab Emirates, Switzerland and the United States.
