Weather: Haze should begin to lift a bit later tonight

Generally dry and hazy conditions will prevail across the state today, but a weakening front will bring clouds and showers to Kaua'i and O'ahu this morning, the National Weather Service said

.

For the rest of the state, light lands breezes and clear skies in the morning will give way to coastal breezes and afternoon clouds over upslope areas with isolated showers.

The Big Island will see light easterly winds returning tonight, pushing the vog out over the island, forecasters said.

Light to moderate trade winds will return throughout the state next week.

Here's a closer look at the next few days:

Today: Isolated showers before noon. Widespread haze. Partly cloudy, with a high near 82. South wind around 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 10%.

Tonight: Widespread haze. Partly cloudy, with a low around 67. Northeast wind around 7 mph.

Saturday: Widespread haze. Mostly sunny, with a high near 83. Southwest wind around 7 mph.

Saturday Night: Isolated showers after midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 70. Northeast wind around 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Sunday: Isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a high near 83. East wind around 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Sunday Night: Isolated showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 71. East wind around 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
