Honolulu's Parker McLachlin shot an 2-under-par 70 — sinking a 43-foot eagle putt on the final hole — but dropped four shots off the lead today in the second round of the AT&T Classic at the TPC Sugarloaf in Duluth, Ga.

McLachlin, who was a co-leader after the first round, was a 8-under 136. Jonathan Byrd shot a 66 to lead at 132. Kenny Perry (69) and Ryan Palmer (69) were at 135.

Kane'ohe's Dean Wilson, a Castle High alum, shot a 71 and was at 144, which was the cut line.

McLachlin, a Punahou School and UCLA alum, birdied the par-4 No. 3, double-bogeyed the par-4 No 5 and bogeyed the par-5 No. 6. He birdied the par-4 No. 7 and made the turn at 1 over. He birdied the par-5 No. 10, but double-bogeyed the par-4 No. 12. He made consecutive birdies at Nos. 14 and 15 (both par-4s) to get back to even par before his eagle on the par-5 No. 18.
