BENEFIT AT FISHCAKE

A gala benefit for the Hawaiian Humane Society, titled "White," happens from 6 to 10 p.m. May 23 at the home-furnishings boutique fishcake, 307C Kamani St.

The evening includes artwork in 2-D and 3-D, Gary Fujimoto's latest line of clothing, the butoh group Tangentz and music by Steven Rosenthal and Kiyoe Wellington. Pet furniture created by Mark Chai, John Koga and others will be auctioned off. There's food and drink, too.

Tickets are $50; attendees are encouraged to wear white. 923-1231.

CONCERTS BY THE SEA

The Waikiki Aquarium's Ke Kani O Ke Kai summer concert series returns with five nights of music and food. The schedule:

  • June 12: Kaukahi.

  • June 26: Hapa.

  • July 10: Jerry Santos and Jay Larrin.

  • July 24: Eddie Kamae.

  • Aug. 7: Willie K.

    Doors open at 5:30 p.m.; concerts begin at 7 p.m. Admission is $25 general, $10 for those 7-12; free for kids 6 and younger ($18 and $7 for aquarium members). 440-9015.
