Weekly thoughts

By Rev. Paul Osumi

Here is a good garden formula. Plant five rows of peas: preparedness, promptness, perseverance, politeness and prayer. Then three rows of squash: squash gossip, squash indifference and squash criticism. Then, plant five rows of lettuce — let us love one another and be faithful, unselfish, loyal and truthful. And one row of turnips — turn up for church!

Thoughts by the late Rev. Paul Osumi are selected weekly by his family.
