Bell stolen on Big Island

Big Island police are asking for the public's help in locating a bell and the person or persons who stole it from the Hilo Hooganji Mission.

Someone entered the property, located on Manono Street at the Piilani Street intersection, and removed the bell sometime between April 28 and May 1.

Police ask anyone with information about this case to call the Police Department's non-emergency line at 935-3311. Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. All Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential.
