Hawaiian Holdings Inc., parent company of Hawaiian Airlines, said its shares will begin trading on the Nasdaq Global Market beginning June 2.

The shares currently trade on the American Stock Exchange, and will do so until the market close on May 30. The company's ticker symbol will remain "HA."

"We are pleased to announce the company's listing on the Nasdaq Global Market," said Mark Dunkerley, Hawaiian's president and chief executive officer. "We believe the move to Nasdaq will improve the visibility of our stock, enhance trading liquidity in our shares, and provide the company with greater exposure to institutional investors."
