Funerals for Koa Paka, Austin Miles on Friday

The funeral for 3-year-old Koa Paka Kamaki Miles, the Wai'anae toddler killed in a traffic collision Thursday, will be held Friday in conjunction with the funeral for his paternal grandfather.

Austin "He'eman" Samuel Kamaki Miles, 62, of Wai'anae, died last Tuesday.

The joint service is Friday at Wai'anae Baptist Church. Visitation is at 5 p.m. Flowers welcome. Casual attire. Arrangements by Mililani Mortuary.

Koa Paka Miles was born in Honolulu. He is survived by his parents, Samuel and Erica; sister, Ka'ohulani; grandparents, Mary Miles, Eric Coludrovich and Tina Ann Brown; great-grandparents, Robert Ward, Mary Dunnavant and Gerald Coludrovich; uncles, aunts.

Austin Miles was born in Honolulu. He was a sous chef while a merchant seaman with American Hawaii Cruise. He is survived by his wife, Mary; sons, Andrew, Samuel and Emanuel; daughters, Yvonne Cansibog, Paula Ann Vincent, Pendalton "Penny Girl," Beatrice Layne and Marie Kerr; hanai daughter, Terri Modomo; hanai father, Robert Ward; brothers, Mitchell and Richard; hanai brother, Kaleo Marshal; sisters, Gail Schuster, Charleen Wong, Sarah Horner, Vienna Miles and Aloma Kaluhiwa; 16 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
