Surf: North Shore dropping; South Shore gaining

Advertiser Staff

As the winter surf season along Oahu's North Shore draws to a close, the surf along the south shore has begun to pick up a bit.

North- and east-facing shores will likely see surf of 2 to 4 feet today, the National Weather Service said.

Surf along south-facing shores will be in the 3- to 5-foot range forecasters said.

And surf along west-facing shores is expected to be 1 to 3 feet.

A small southeast swell will continue through the week, while a small south swell is expected to arrive Friday.
