PUC denies Hawaiian Tel's request to boost credit line

Advertiser Staff

Hawaiian Telcom Inc. said the Public Utilities Commission has denied its request to increase its borrowing capacity by $60 million.

The state's largest phone company said it had sought permission to boost its borrowing to $150 million from $90 million under its existing senior secured revolving credit facility.

The company's right to seek an increase in its borrowing capacity under the existing credit facility expires on June 1, Hawaiian Telcom said in a news release.
