Fatal 2006 Waialua crash driver to be arraigned

The driver in a May 2006 crash on Kaukonahua Road which killed two Waialua High School seniors will be arraigned June 5 on two counts of second-degree negligent homicide and one count of first-degree negligent injury.

Billy Joeson Lamug, currently in Phoenix, was indicted April 3 by an O'ahu grand jury and plans to return to Honolulu for his court appearance.

The crash killed Lamug's cousin, 18-year-old Shane Bachiller, and 17-year-old Lanakila Vierra. Five teens in the car.

The group was returning to Waialua at 3:45 a.m. on the the dark, winding roadway after celebrating Bachiller's birthday.
