The feud between Jason Taylor and Bill Parcells intensified yesterday, making it likely the six-time Pro Bowl defensive end has played his last game for the Miami Dolphins.

Coach Tony Sparano said Taylor isn't expected to take part in any team activities through training camp. The revelation came less than 24 hours after Taylor finished second to Kristi Yamaguchi in the finals of "Dancing with the Stars" in Los Angeles.

For weeks the new Dolphins regime, led by Parcells, has fumed while Taylor spent his offseason focused on his budding Hollywood career rather than back in South Florida working out with teammates.

Following a voluntary team practice yesterday — with only Taylor missing — Sparano signaled the Dolphins are ready to move on without Taylor.

"I'm glad we know this. We've gotten the information, and that's important," Sparano said. "I know that Jason is not going to be in any minicamps, and I know that right now Jason is not going to be at training camp.

"So that's what we know. Jason's a player under contract with the Miami Dolphins. He knows that. Both parties are well aware of the information. That's all I'm going to say about it."

While Sparano implied that Taylor initiated the latest development in the soap opera, the coach declined to be more specific. Taylor, 33, and his camp were mum about the situation.

Browns: Cleveland still doesn't know why star tight end Kellen Winslow is not attending the team's voluntary workouts. Two weeks into their organized team activities, Browns coach Romeo Crennel again said yesterday that he hasn't heard from Winslow and doesn't know why he's not with the team. Winslow, who underwent offseason knee surgery, has made it clear that he wants the Browns to redo his contract.

Also, Browns defensive back Daven Holly could be lost for the season after he injured his left knee while defending a pass during an organized team activity. Holly was competing with Brandon McDonald for a starting spot.

Packers: Defensive tackle Justin Harrell, Green Bay's No. 1 draft pick in 2007, will miss all of the organized team activities while he recovers from minor back surgery. Harrell said yesterday after the team's third OTA and second practice that he hurt himself lifting weights and had outpatient surgery to correct a disk problem a little over a month ago.

Cardinals: Receiver Anquan Boldin and defensive end Darnell Dockett picked a good time to skip Arizona's voluntary workouts. The temperature approached 90 degrees as winds gusted on the team's practice fields yesterday morning. Boldin's contract runs through 2010 and averages $4 million. Both want new contracts.

Jaguars: Jacksonville defensive tackle Tony McDaniel agreed to a contract extension. McDaniel had 25 tackles and a sack the past two years. He missed the final 12 games last season after suffering a wrist injury. Details of McDaniel's new contract were not released.
