WAILUKU, MAUI- As a reminder, all County of Maui offices and Hana, Molokai and Lanai landfills will be closed Monday, May 26 for the Memorial Day Holiday. Waiehu Golf Course and all county pools will be open.

Over the holiday weekend, Kokua, Lahaina, Kihei and Upcountry pools are scheduled to be open all weekend. Sakamoto Pool will be closed for the 34th Annual Sakamoto Invitational Friday afternoon, Saturday and Sunday; the meet will draw 250 participants from Maui County, the state and from the Mainland. The public is advised to call 270-8208 for daily recorded pool schedule information, which is updated by 9 a.m. seven days a week.

On Memorial Day, the Central Maui Landfill will be open 6 a.m. - 4 p.m., and the Olowalu Recycling and Refuse Center will be open 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Lanai residents are scheduled to receive trash pickup service Tuesday.
