Vog should make way for mostly sunny weather

The vog should start to clear today with a return of the trade winds.

The National Weather Service forecast calls for gentle winds out of the east today, increasing in strength as the weekend wears on.

Occasional showers today and tomorrow should clear out to make way for mostly sunny weather Sunday and Monday, forecasters said.

Here's a closer look at how the three-day weekend is shaping up:

Today: Scattered showers, mainly after noon. Partly cloudy, with a high near 83. East wind around 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Tonight: Isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a low around 71. East wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Saturday: Isolated showers after noon. Partly cloudy, with a high near 85. East wind around 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Saturday Night: Isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a low around 70. East wind around 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 86. East wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Sunday Night: Isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a low around 71. East wind around 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Memorial Day: Sunny, with a high near 87. East wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Monday Night: Isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a low around 70. East wind around 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
