OFFICE PAVILION

Moses Murakami has joined the sales team at Office Pavilion as an account executive for commercial and government market development.

ROBERTS HAWAII

Roberts Hawaii has appointed Neysa Park as assistant controller. She will be primarily responsible for overseeing accounting and financial reporting functions for Roberts Hawaii and its related entities.

UH-WEST O'AHU

Julie Funasaki Yuen and VALENTINO VALDEZ have joined the public relations and marketing department at UH-West O'ahu.

Yuen was hired as a public information officer. Her responsibilities include conducting media relations, special-event planning, newsletter and print collateral development, updating the Web site, developing marketing plans and promoting university academic and research programs.

Valdez will serve as a graphic designer/staff photographer. His responsibilities include graphic design layout, artwork procurement, budgeting and proofing design projects. Valdez is also responsible for photographing UH-West O'ahu events, directing photo shoots and creating stock photography.

HAWAII DENTAL SERVICE

Gregory Dwight Dunn, executive director of the Hawaii Nature Center, has been elected board chairman of the Hawaii Dental Service. T. Kimo Blaisdell, senior vice president of Robeco Investment Management, was elected first vice chair, assistant secretary and assistant treasurer; Michael O'Malley, a tax principal with Accuity, was re-elected secretary; and Dr. Norman Chun, a dentist in private practice in Honolulu, was re-elected treasurer. All will serve one-year terms as officers.

New members of the HDS Foundation board of trustees are: Patrick Loo, president and chief executive of the United Food & Commercial Workers Union, Local 480, chair; Dr. Garrett Oka, Honolulu dentist in private practice, president; Dr. Clay Hiramoto, Lihu'e dentist in private practice, trustee; and Jodi Nakayama, partner in the accounting firm Yasuda, Nakayama & Associates, trustee.

TD FOOD GROUP

TD Food Group has promoted Francis Cortez to restaurant general manager of Pizza Hut in Hilo.

Cortez has worked for TD Food Group for the last nine years, having started as a delivery driver in 1999. He was promoted to shift manager and then assistant restaurant general manager prior to this promotion.

KAHALA HOTEL RESORT

The Kahala Hotel Resort has announced two promotions:

As director of travel industry sales, Rowena Anecito will oversee global and U.S. wholesale and retail sales activity for the hotel. She was most recently the Kahala's senior sales manager for the western United States.

Marc Rafael, senior sales manager, will be assisting Anecito with travel industry sales activity in the eastern U.S. region, as well as servicing international travel partners.

UNIVERSITY HEALTH ALLIANCE

Two members of the University Health Alliance sales team have assumed new titles and expanded management responsibilities:

MALCOLM LEONG has been promoted to vice president of the Broker Network Group, overseeing development of UHA's broker-generated sales. Originally hired as an account executive in June 1999, Leong was promoted to sales manager in 2000.

LANCE KANESHIRO has been promoted from corporate account executive to vice president of the Business Development Group. He started with UHA as an account executive in July 1999. Kaneshiro is now responsible for development of new business generated by UHA's in-house sales team.
