Barry will hold two keeper clinics in June

 •  Hawaii surfers taking pride, aloha to France

The Bob Barry Goalkeeper Clinic will be held on two dates in June.

The clinics will be June 7 to 8 at Saint Louis School and June 28 to 29 at Mililani's 16 acres.

The clinics are open to players age 8 and above. Players will be grouped according to age and ability.

The cost is $100 per clinic, and $120 for advanced.

SHOOTING

FAIR ON JUNE 21 TO 22

The 15th annual Hawai'i Rifle Association Shooting Sports Fair will be June 21 and 22 at the Koko Head Shooting Complex.

There will be numerous types of firearms available for shooting at the event, which runs from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on June 21 and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on June 22.

Eye and ear protection, which will be available for purchase at the fair, are mandatory.

There will be no alcohol allowed at any time at the event.

There will be a lunch wagon on site both days.

Admission is free. Script will be available for purchase for various activities.

TENNIS

WAILEA HONORED

The Tennis Industry Association, the U.S. Tennis Association and Racquet Sports Industry magazine recognized the Wailea Tennis Club on Maui as one of the top 50 Tennis Welcome Centers in the United States in April.

The Wailea Tennis Club was recognized as a leader in promoting the sport of tennis and delivering programs that welcome new players to the game. The centers are public and private facilities leading the charge in growing the sport by providing well-rounded programs to new and current players of all ages and abilities.

SWIMMING

MASTERS EVENT SET

The Hawai'i International Masters Swim Meet will be June 22 at the Veterans Memorial Aquatic Center at the Patsy T. Mink Central O'ahu Regional Park.

The pool will be open for warmups at 8 a.m., with the meet scheduled to start at 10 a.m.

The meet is open to registered U.S. Masters Swimming swimmers who will be 18 or older as of Dec. 31.

The entry deadline is June 15.

BOXING

SHOW SET FOR JUNE 7

A boxing show will be held June 7 at Palolo Gym at 6 p.m. Admission is $10 and proceeds will help the Hawai'i Junior Olympic Boxing Team.
