Bank robber escapes on Kauai

Kaua'i police are searching for a man who stole an undisclosed amount of cash from First Hawaiian Bank at Kukui Grove Center on Saturday morning.

The suspect allegedly entered the bank around 11:40 a.m. and demanded money from a bank teller and was able to leave before mall security and police arrived.

No one was injured.

According to a preliminary report, the man was light-skinned wearing a tan-colored shirt, dark shorts and a dark-colored UH logo baseball cap.

He is approximately 5 foot 10 and appears to be in his 40s.
