Melissa Beirnes and Giselle Kim will head a cheerleading clinic for novice and experienced, starting June 8 at Ala Puumalu District Park (1575 Ala Puumalu St.).

Clinics are for those ages 5-18 and will be held June 8, 15 and 22 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Instructions will cover such areas as:

• Proper warm up, stretching and conditioning techniques;

• Stunt skill progression;

• Motion execution and placement;

• Jump conditioning;

• Dance choreography;

• Crowd leadership;
