Prosecutors today charged a 25-year-old man with multiple felony counts related to a shooting yesterday at a 24th-floor unit at 909 Kapi'olani Boulevard.

William J. Choi, who gave police no local address at booking, is charged with four counts of first-degree terroristic threatening, four counts of class-A kidnapping, one count of first-degree reckless endangerment, and two firearm offenses. Bail is $200,000 pending his initial appearance tomorrow at District Court.

Two men and two women who were in the apartment were not injured.

Police said Choi allegedly pointed a Ruger 9mm pistol at the head of a man, 26, and that a struggle ensued. During the struggle, the pistol went off.

Police went to apartment 2405 to investigate shots being fired at 8:54 a.m. Choi was arrested at 9:58 a.m.
