Police today arrested a Salt Lake man who allegedly struck his wife in the face with a vase filled with coins during a domestic dispute.

The man, 39, was arrested by Kalihi District Crime Reduction Unit officers at 8:11 a.m. and booked for second-degree assault.

His 36-year-old wife suffered a large cut on her face. The incident was reported to police on May 5 at 9:30 p.m.
