Rehab Hospital workers win $3,000 scholarships

Two employees at the Rehabilitation Hospital of the Pacific have received $3,000 scholarships for continuing education.

The AT&T Award of Excellence went to Jeannie Vave, a 15-year veteran of the hospital.

She is coordinator for the Medicare program at the institution.

Eric Kawaguchi, a certified physical therapist, also got an AT&T scholarship.

He is involved with the work-health programs at the hospital, and also works with its aquatic therapy program.

The AT&T Award for Excellence was established in 1994 to honor exemplary clinicians.
