Hyatt Resorts Hawaii, including resorts on Kaua'i, Maui and O'ahu, raised $62,791 for the recent annual Visitor Industry Charity Walk with the Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort and Spa serving as the single largest business contributor for the walk.

This year's walk, titled "Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow: Over a Thousand Miles of Smiles," included more than 8,600 walkers raising a total of $1,050,000 to be donated to Hawaii charities. The Charity Walk has raised over $20 million since its inception in 1978.

"This walk has become one of the largest single day fundraising events in the state to benefit non-profit charities, and on behalf of all three Hyatt resorts in Hawai'i we are proud to be involved and to participate with the many people making this event a huge success," said General Manager Mike Jokovich of Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa and chairperson for this year's Charity Walk.
