'EWA BEACH
Big City Diner donating $5,300 to Dikito children

Big City Diner will donate $5,300 to the four children of an 'Ewa Beach couple who died April 25 in a murder-suicide.

The O'ahu restaurant chain pledged to donate 15 percent of its restaurant receipts from Tuesday to the children of Della and Domingo Dikito. Police said Domingo Dikito shot his wife, then himself, in their home. They are survived by four children ages 8 to 18.

"These funds will assist the children in covering at least two months of their $2,600 mortgage," said Walter Enriquez Jr., Big City Diner's corporate director of human resources.

Big City Diner will continue to accept donations for the family at its restaurants. Make checks payable to Blayne Dikito, the eldest son. Donations may also be made to the Dikito Children's Special Fund at any Bank of Hawaii branch.
