Pedestrian accident reported at Queen & Richards

Advertiser Staff

A 55-year-old man was taken to The Queen's Medical Center in stable condition with a head injury after being struck by a car this morning while crossing the intersection of Richards and Queen streets in downtown Honolulu, police said.

They said the man was hit by a car that was making a turn at the intersection.

Witnesses told authorities the man went up on the car hood after being struck, but got down on his own, was able to finish crossing the street and did not lose consciousness.

Emergency responders were sent out on the call a little past 6:20 a.m.
