Small brushfire burns Big Isle ranch land

A brushfire burned about a quarter-acre of ranch land yesterday morning, Big Island fire officials said.
The fire, at Puakea Bay Ranch Estates in North Kona, was reported about 9:30 a.m. and listed as extinguished about 10:50 a.m.
The cause of the blaze has not been determined.
Eight firefighters from the North Kohala Station battled the fire, which was fueled, in part, by 10-15 mph winds.
