Three female gymnasts from Hawaiian Island Twisters earned All-America honors at the USA-Gymnastics National Championships in Kissimmee, Fla., on May 17 and 18.

Becca Pang, Becca Cardenas and Megan Harada all finished in the top 10 of the competition, which featured 450 gymnasts, to earn All-America honors. The three were also selected for the Region 2 All-Star International Team and will compete in Japan this summer.

Pang, a senior at Punahou School, earned All-America honors for her 9.500 score on the balance beam, where she tied for eighth. She also scored 9.60 (tied for 11th) on the uneven bars, 9.35 on the floor, and 8.875 on the vault for an all-around score of 37.325, good for 18th place. She will be competing for the University of Maryland in the fall.

Cardenas, a senior at Hawai'i Mission Academy, earned All-America honors for her 9.525 score (tied for 10th) on the uneven bars. She also scored 9.550 on the vault, 8.90 on the beam, and 8.625 on the floor for an AA score of 36.600 (tied for 33rd). She will compete on a full scholarship for the University of Arizona.

Harada, a junior at Punahou School, tied for third place with a 9.525 score on the uneven bars, earning All-America honors. She also scored 9.550 on the vault, 9.10 on the beam, and 9.075 on the floor for an AA score of 37.250 (tied for 16th).

The gymnasts are coached by Joe Rapp and Jamey Gossett at the Hawaiian Island Twisters gym in Mapunapuna.
