Molokai panel to be briefed on irrigation system

HONOLULU – Duane Okamoto, deputy chair of the Department of Agriculture, will discuss strategic planning and repairs to improve the Moloka'i Irrigation System when the Governor's Moloka'i Community Advisory Council meets at 3 p.m. June 10 at the DHHL/OHA Conference Room, 600 Maunaloa Hwy. in Kaunakakai.

The meeting is open to the public.

Also, Workforce Development Division representatives from the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations will provide updates on work programs, job fairs and unemployment benefits on Moloka'i.

The members of the Moloka'i Community Advisory Council are Robert Granger, Janice Kalanihuia, Jersula Manaba, Marlene Purdy and Weldon Wichman.
