Volunteers are needed to clean Kahawai Stream in Waimanalo from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday beginning across the street from L&L Drive In.

Hui o Ko'olaupoko and the Kailua Bay Advisory Committee are partnering with the city's Clean Water Branch to do the work.

Volunteers will remove litter, plant ground cover and install erosion control matting.

Participants should dress to get dirty, wear covered shoes and sunscreen, and bring water. A change of clothes is recommended.
