Christmas giving project under way

The season of giving is here, and two worthy groups are offering ways for you to be an angel:

• The Children's Alliance of Hawaii helps abused children through its annual Christmas Angels Project. Last year, 437 sexually abused children and their siblings had more than a thousand wishes come true. • Operation Christmas Child sent 7.6 million gift-filled shoeboxes last yeat to kids in more than 100 counties (5,335 stayed on O'ahu). Drop-off locations are in Honolulu, Kailua and Kapolei during our National Collection Week, Nov. 17-24; Rene Morgan, 561-4994 or www.samaritanspurse.org.
