NEW NIGHTMARKET

Fashion, food, art, entertainment, sustainability and community involvement all come together at NightMarket@AlohaTower, a monthly showcase continuing at 5 p.m.
Nov. 19 at Aloha Tower Marketplace.
The event features a farmers market, retail booths, fashion makeovers, wine tastings, and fashion shows. Nonprofit organizations also will participate.

KALÄKAUA’S BIRTHDAY

The birthday of King David Kaläkaua will be celebrated at noon Nov. 16 at çIolani Palace.
The palace will be decorated with red, white and blue bunting and Hawaiian flags; and the Royal Hawaiian Band will perform a concert of Monarchy-era music.
Entry to the palace and galleries is free for Hawaiçi residents; bring a state ID or driver’s license. Guided tours will be offered every 20 minutes from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. 522-0822.
