Weather: Partly cloudy for the next few days

A high pressure area will remain north of the islands into the middle of the week, the National Weather Service said, keeping the trade winds blowing.

Most clouds and showers will keep to the windward and mauka areas, forecasters said.

Expect winds to weaken as we head into Thursday as a front approaches from the northwest.

Here's how today and the start of the new work week look at this point:

Today: Isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a high near 83. Breezy, with a east wind between 16 and 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Tonight: Isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a low around 72. East wind between 13 and 16 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Monday: Isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a high near 82. East wind around 16 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Monday Night: Isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a low around 71. East wind around 16 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Veterans Day: Isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a high near 82. East wind around 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Tuesday Night: Scattered showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 70. East wind around 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
