Surf: Down today, big waves expected tomorrow

Advertiser Staff

Surf is on the way down along most shores on O'ahu, the National Weather Service said.

Surf along north-facing shores has dropped into the 4-to-8-foot range while surf along east facing shores is down to 3 to 5 feet, the Weather Service said.

Surf of 4 to 6 feet is expected today along south-facing shores, while west-facing shores will see surf of 2 to 4 feet.

Outlook through Sunday, Nov. 16: A new northwest swell will arrive on Wednesday and build quickly overnight. This swell will peak Thursday with surf along north facing shores likely exceeding the advisory level of 15 feet.

The next northwest swell is expected late Sunday and may produce surf above the advisory level along north facing shores. The current south swell will slowly subside Wednesday.
