The Contemporary Cafe at The Contemporary Museum has something new: a picnic lunch option, to be enjoyed on the museum's grounds in Makiki Heights. For "Lauhala and Lunch," you'll be loaned a lauhala mat to sit on while enjoying your $30 picnic basket for two, including sandwiches or salad, dessert bars and soft drinks. Call ahead to order: 523-3362. There is no museum fee, though you may tour the galleries with a one-day membership of $5. Pickup hours are 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday; noon-2 p.m. Sunday.
