Weather: Vog, isolated showers likely today

Winds will slowly turn southeast and weaken today, and remain light through the rest of the week as a front approaches the islands from the northwest, the National Weather Service said.

Clouds and showers will develop over the interior sections of the islands during the afternoon and evening hours, with clearing overnight.

Vog will also be prevalent across much of the state in the coming days.

Here's a closer look at what's in store for the remainder of the work week:

Today: Isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a high near 82. Southeast wind between 8 and 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Tonight: Isolated showers before midnight. Widespread haze. Partly cloudy, with a low around 68. East wind around 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Thursday: Isolated showers after noon. Widespread haze. Partly cloudy, with a high near 82. South wind around 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Thursday Night: Isolated showers before midnight. Widespread haze. Partly cloudy, with a low around 67. West wind around 6 mph becoming northeast. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Friday: Scattered showers, mainly after noon. Widespread haze. Partly cloudy, with a high near 81. North wind around 7 mph becoming south. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Friday Night: Scattered showers, mainly before midnight. Widespread haze. Partly cloudy, with a low around 68. Southeast wind around 6 mph becoming north. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
