Tree trimming continues along H-3 Freeway

Advertiser Staff

Right lane closures are planned on the H-3 Freeway in the Kaneohe-bound direction from the H-201 Moanalua Freeway on-ramp to the H-3 Tunnel today through Friday, November 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., daily, for tree trimming.

Certified arborists determined that about 140 trees slated to be trimmed or removed pose a safety hazard to passing motorists.

Many of these trees have visible termite damage, vertical splits, or lean over the road which could potentially cause damage or injury to motorists, state transportation officials said.
