Thieves steal equipment from north Hilo ranch

Big Island police are investigating the theft equipment that includes a Miller mig welder, a Rigid compressor, a Bosh grinder, a Sears grinder and a Rigid grinder in north Hilo.

The items were stolen from ranch land in Umauma sometime between 5 p.m. Tuesday and 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, police said.

Anyone with information on suspects or the stolen equipmant equipment can call investigating Officer Michael DeCoito at 962-2120, the police department's non-emergency line at 935-3311, or Big Island CrimeStoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona.
