Waimea Valley will celebrate its Makahiki from 9 a.m to 5 p.m. Nov. 22 and 23 with games, craft demonstrations, a plant sale and an evening show with Na Leo Pilimehana.

The annual Makahiki will showcase traditional arts, including kapa, lau hala, lei hulu, weapons, knotting and cordage. Youngsters can participate in challenging Hawaiian games.

Waimea Valley Grill will provide special menu items, including Hawaiian dishes.

All of the Makahiki activities are included in the price of entry, expect for the Na Leo Pilimehana show. General admission is $10 for adults, and $5 for ages 4-12 and seniors. Kama'aina and military rates are $6 for adults and $3 for children and seniors.

The Na Leo Pilimehana show, 7 p.m. Nov. 22, is $50 for dinner and preferred seating, $20 for general admission. Call 808-262-6300 for tickets.
