Advertiser Staff

Police arrested a suspect yesterday about 40 minutes after a Pearl City area mini food mart was robbed at gunpoint.

The suspect, a 23-year-old resident of Ho'ohaku Street in Pearl City, was arrested opposite 593 Kamehameha Hwy. at 5:23 p.m. for investigation of two counts of first-degree robbery.

Police said the suspect entered the mini mart and demanded money at gunpoint. He fled at 4:45 p.m. with an undisclosed amount of cash from the register.
